Academic Express provides top notch tutoring in a variety of subjects. We offer private, individual sessions, so you can adapt our lessons to meet your needs.
With over 20 years of experience, Academic Express offers a high level of service and support to our students, deep knowledge of reading and writing skills needed to succeed on standardized tests, in class, as well as in college.
About the Director
Dennis Lepold
With over 30 years experience as an educator in NJ public schools, Dennis has worked with students on all facets of the college application and essay writing process. He has also written numerous recommendations for students who attended some of the top-rated colleges and universities.
In the early 2000's, he started tutoring to help athletic recruits at Rider University improve their SAT score in order to increase their merit scholarships. He eventually expanded his curriculum to include enrichment and remediation lessons for students grade 6-12.
His approach is always to build students reading and writing levels using the College Board's AP Language and Composition rubrics as a guide, all the while scaffolding the lessons and assignments to meet the student's level. He also strives to match lessons with student's interest when possible.
